Do you have questions about this yoga retreat?
Well, here are the answers to the most most commonly asked questions.
The Marrakech Airport (RAK) has direct flights to more than 90 cities in 25 countries including most Europeans capitals. If flying from the US, you may either look for flight options via a European city or via Casablanca which has multiple direct flights to North America.
For round trip flights from Europe, you can expect to pay ~$100-$400 and from North America $800-$1500.
We will coordinate airport pick up and drop offs with each of you. Note that some of you may decide to come earlier and stay longer to experience Marrakech longer or to see other parts of the country. If so, we will coordinate pick up and drop off to/from your accommodations or train/bus station as needed.
The retreat starts on Sunday the 20th at 6pm and lasts until Saturday the 26th of September at 6pm and is held in Marrakech Morocco.

- If you arrive to Marrakech earlier than Sunday, we will coordinate to pick you up from your accommodations on Sunday morning or in case you arrive from a different city by bus or train we will get you from the bus or train station

If you need recommendations on how to get to Marrakech from other cities, we are happy to help. Typically, the best option for travel between cities in Morocco is either to take the train (ONCF) or with one of the express bus companies CTM or Supratour.
Most countries, including the EU nations, USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and several in Asia, South America, and Africa, have visa-free access to Morocco for short tourist stays (typically up to 90 days), receiving an entry stamp upon arrival.
All you will need to attend this yoga retreat is your passport with a validity of at least 6 months. If you want to double check if you need a visa, visit this official government portal to confirm.
The weather in Marrakech in September averages 29 C/85 F but expect the weather to be hot and dry, which will be a great opportunity to work on your tan in the rooftop and a great reason to jump in the pool at the villa as often as you’d like, just make sure to bring some sun screen.
We will be staying in a luxurious traditional villa in the outskirts of the city of Marrakech (25mn drive from the center). The Villa has 8 bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. The Riad also has multiple common areas and a rooftop that are exclusively available to our group.
A rich Brunch will be served daily at 10am at the villa after yoga. Dinner will be scheduled daily at 7:30pm – depending on the day, we may either have dinner at the villa or out at a restaurant. We will typically have a mid-day snack around 1pm by the pool and there will be plenty of nuts, fruits and other snacks available on a self service basis throughout the day in the common area.
Meals will feature both Moroccan and international cuisines. Throughout the retreat, you will get the chance to taste a variety of typical dishes and explore the richness of Moroccan cuisine.
If you have any food preferences or food allergies we should know about, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your specific needs.
The yoga retreat will consist of daily yoga classes at 8am with breakfast served at 10am. We will have coffee available starting at 7:30am each day. We will set our intention throughout the retreat to remain in silence until 10am each morning.
Each day will consist of activities and sight-seeing around Marrakech mixed with some relaxing time by the pool. We will also have afternoon Yin yoga classes on 3 separate days during the retreat.
Dinner is served each day at 7:30pm and we typically hang out and socialize each evening until around 10pm-10:30pm.
We will go over the exact schedule for the week during the opening ceremony and confirm the schedule for each day the evening before during dinner.
The Morocco Yoga Retreat is designed to be small to really get the chance to connect with the teacher and your fellow retreat attendees. We typically have groups ranging from 8 to 12 people.
The retreat is designed for all levels. No yoga experience is needed. We will work with you to build you practice, and a yoga retreat is a great way to do that.
